Our computer is currently not working (which sucks, but I am so glad it waited til we got back to America to work!), so I don't have any fun picture posts :( Sorry...when we get it working again, I will post pictures of what we've been up to.
This week is going to be crazy! I babysat today and will babysit on Wednesday, which is a good source of income. Plus I have work and some college activities this week. Plus, we move in this week!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! We are very excited about this! I painted some today and will finish up painting the kitchen tomorrow. Then we will move everything in on Thursday and Friday.
I am just so ready to unpack everything. We packed everything up last May. So it has been 14 months since I have seen all of this stuff. I am most excited about my KitchenAid mixer (especially after mixing cookie dough by hand this past year!). But I also can't wait to sit on our couch! It will be like Christmas for us!
We still haven't sold our car. I have just stopped worrying about it. It will sell...I guess its just not supposed to sell right now. So I am just trusting that God will work it all out in His time.
Bech's eye problems seem to be okay, as of now. He is in major job hunt mode, and nothing is working out. So please pray that he will find a job!

Just a quick update from us...we're good. We are still trying to get back into the swing of things here in America. We both have phones, and I've been working. Bech is looking for a job right now.
Our computer is messed up, so we won't be putting up pictures any time soon. There is now an apple store in Mississippi, so hopefully they can fix our computer!
We move into our house in a couple of weeks. Mostly, we have just been enjoying time with family. We were able to go to Oxford this past weekend and see some good friends who we missed a lot.
Finally, Hunter would like to say hello. He is sitting over my shoulder and would like to "give a shout-out to all those different peeps."
Um...thanks, Hunter???

I have really been struggling with faith lately. I have posted on this blog about our car that we were trying to sell before we left. If you have read those posts, you know that twice we have had people who wanted our car and weren't able to get the money together. Well the morning we left, Bech met with an Australian business man who decided to buy our car. He was going to transfer the money from his Australian account to our American one. It didn't work. He says the bank is not letting him do that.
So we are back at square one...the car isn't sold. The money from the car is going to be used to pay taxes, put deposits down and pay our first months rent, and just get our apartment set up. Plus, Bech had to go see the doctor on Monday and had some minor laser surgery on his eye (which was not covered by our insurance!). We are stressed about money, but it's not like we don't have it! It's just in Africa in the form of a car.
I have to remind myself that if I really believe what I say, that God is in control, that He is sovereign, that He loves me and will take care of me, then I need to let this go. I need to just totally trust Him in this area. So please pray. Pray that our car will sell, but more than that, please pray for my heart (and Bech's heart as well). Pray that I will trust God to care for me, just as He has cared for me this past year in Africa and throughout my whole life.
Finally, I want to share some lyrics. These are from Hold It Up to the Light, by David Wilcox (one of my favorite musicians ever). He is talking about making a decision, but it is a great reminder to have faith.
"I said God, will you bless this decision?
I'm scared, Is my life at stake?
But I see if you gave me a vision
Would I never have reason to use my faith?"

Here are two videos that I have been wanting to upload for a long time (but couldn't because of the slow internet). They are from the safari Emily, Katy, and I went on. This is Jacob, being chased around by Robert, the warthog. Enjoy!

...we're back!
We are back in the US of A, and I am so happy! We got back Monday at about 7 p.m. and headed straight to Little Tokyo for some much needed sushi. We have just been spending time with our families and enjoying being home for the past two days. I start my job tomorrow, though!
I did make my much anticipated Wal-Mart trip to see the shampoo aisle (and was a little overwhelmed with all of the choices...I mean, do you know how many different brands of sour cream there are? a LOT!). In case there are any overly curious readers out there (and by that, I mean borderline psycho, but not really), I picked the new "hydralicious" Herbal Essence...I am very happy with my purchase.
yummy!
